Walk Like Jesus Discipleship Course Feb 2024

About the event

Come and be equipped to make disciples by obeying Jesus' commands to heal the sick, share the Gospel, cast out demons, baptise in water and the Holy Spirit.

This is a free online event run by people who have been trained through the TLR network. It is not an official TLR event and Torben Sondergaard will not be joining us.

There are 7 sessions on zoom 19.30 -21.00 every Wednesday from 7th Feb to 20th Mar.

To register you will need a mobile number and to consent to join a WhatsApp group which will be used to share the Zoom link for the event and to share information during the course.

Following this seven-week course, we expect to arrange a series of one-day mini-kickstart events to take you out to the streets and help you put into practice what you've learnt on the course.

In the book of Acts, we read that God was using ordinary people to do extraordinary things. The church was growing fast. Believers were being filled with the Holy Spirit. The disciples preached the Gospel, healed the sick and cast out demons. They also baptised people in water and laid their hands on them to receive the Holy Spirit.

The apostle Paul emphasised the importance of demonstrating the power of God, in all he did. Paul wrote, “My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power.” (1 Cor 2:4-5, NIV)

This was the ‘normal Christian life’ for a disciple of Jesus Christ. Is this life still applicable for us today? Are present-day disciples of Jesus called to do these same ‘acts’?

Yes! We know that this life is still for us today, and for every believer who wants to be a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ.
